Re: Lane Conflict
https://goo.gl/maps/kPQhKGE5BcR2 Centre & right lanes both clearly marked for right turn only. I don't seem a problem with the manoeuvre, but it could be the [higher] speed of execution that's the issue. And, of course, if the person using the rh lane to negotiate the junction moves to the left ...

Re: Jet powered stability control...
I'd seen this mentioned elsewhere, but not seen the video. What surprised me was that it appears to be pushing the bike down - I'd assumed it would a VTOL type effect supporting the bike. The idea seems to be a low down opposite pressure, to counteract the slide. © Mr Newton. Did Mr N explain what ...

Re: Jet powered stability control...
There were occasions when leaving the bike to it's own devices (sliding from under) was the best outcome. Deliberately dropping it and let it slide into the problem on it's own could be a lifesaver. As one can see well out of touch with current techniques/machinery, leathers a bit scuffed but still...

I'd seen this mentioned elsewhere, but not seen the video. What surprised me was that it appears to be pushing the bike down - I'd assumed it would a VTOL type effect supporting the bike. But with a small patch of gravel as shown, the bikes momentum would carry the bike across. As long as the rider ...

Re: Control Pal
Yaw? Blimey! Flat track, speedway and extremely enthusiastic road riding only? Even with 6-axis, I wonder how the system copes with 'down' not being perpendicular to the road during cornering, as 'seat of the pants' etc. will tell you it's [roughly] in-line with the bike (depending on amount of lean...

Re: Control Pal
Parachutists say "It's not the drop, it's the stop" - perhaps some sort of compression sensor on the suspension?
I suppose you'd need either a 6-axis Pal system or the standard 4-axis system mounted at 90 degrees . . .

Re: Control Pal
I suppose as a training tool to understand that these are occurring it has a place, but agree with waremark, it too easily becomes a toy and a target for those so inclined (as I would have been in my youth ;) ). Yup, ^ that :) As a training tool, encouraging good balance of the vehicle (especially,...

Re: Control Pal
If the H2 has cornering ABS, the there's a lot more going on under the hood than there is in the Pal gizmo
FWIW, I would think a phone app, using the built-in accelerometer, could do the same for cars. Bikes, no, as balance in a corner means that 'down' isn't.
