Re: Gov.uk Consultation on driverless cars

It was a while ago but my addled memory can bring up a few things: ... This list is not complete! Sounds like he'd have been better off driving himself (which is the point I'm getting to with our airport taxis - their driving is so abysmal it would be less stressful to drive myself. Only problem is...

Re: Is AD 'better driving'?
The only way to ensure an overtake not being perceived as inconsiderate is to do it when the road on the offside is completely empty. At least in the UK, you may still find the person you are overtaking gets upset ("I'm a safe driver, ergo anyone going slower than me is a doddery old sod, and ...

Re: Is AD 'better driving'?
One of the things we cover on the IAM course is being courteous. Don't forget UK roads are more congested and it is not always possible/safe to wave an arm leg at the time. I personally don't like vehicles moving over to 'help me' overtake (other than filtering in congested towns). They invariably ...

Re: Is AD 'better driving'?
(and Jon, I am not sure that general 'baddrivericide' is acceptable :)) Start with people using hand held mobiles. Particularly when they have a passenger sat next to them. Why are we trying to build our way out of road congestion rather than get people off the roads who don't want to be there anyw...
