RoSPA standards which are based on Roadcraft: Signalling at the 300yd marker is a Roadcraft standard. Whether or not there is a need for that signal is, your consideration. Can you quote the relevant section? I only have the 1994 edition (first version of the bloated, non-Bluebook style), which say...

You don't need any new books. Just practice and polish your "weak" points. Gold is not hard, you need consistency. Have another read of the test guidelines that you can download.

Unless it hasn't been announced correctly, there is no Chief Examiner at present - no applicants. Last communique of some months ago mentioned that a "panel of experts" (my wording) was being considered.

I'm pretty sure my first Volvo (1981 - 244) had mechanical pre-tensioners incorporated into the front seat buckles and mounts.

Thank you - the result I want is a pass. The result I'd like is a gold, but then who doesn't? Plans in place to be there early.
