Why would it need to look far ahead? It is driving reactively to external influences on the route it wishes to take. Just like the majority of road users.

Supposedly more ergonomic and a more natural stance for our arms/hands than the traditional 'bars. I've never ridden anything so equipped, so can't comment, but I struggled with a thumb throttle on a quad bike!

He has been driving a VW Beetle TDi. Doesn't use any gas when moving off, with the consequence that he stalled my petrol 1.4 Fiesta.
