Re: Fog

I started counting the oncomers and there were 23 with headlights, 37! With no lights and 12 with front/rear fogs. (snip) Interestingly, I have automatic lights on my car but they didnt turn on. Re: The Antidote to BRAKE

No exactly related but I was reading this article today about Speed Scameras http://www.bmf.co.uk/news/show/slam-on-the-brakes-bad-driving-found-to-increase-by-689-at-speed-camera-sites I think it's meaningless that there's an increase in braking on the approach to cameras. Re: Pedestrians - victim or cause?

Isn't the HC signal for turning left to use your right arm, moving it in a circle from the shoulder ? https://www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/signals-to-other-road-users So the "putting right hand up to turn left" is half right ... No, these children were definitely half wits!

Re: Sitting On The Fence

Interesting that you do archery and golf - both sports I have done very badly! Do you see any overlap as both are ultimately target sports...? Alasdair Yes, there is certainly overlap in one aspect of coaching - line your feet up in the direction you want the ball/arrow to go. The only other overla...

Re: It's Too Small!

That's strange. I run both an iMac and Macbook Air and do not have this problem when using Safari on El Capitan nor the previous operating system. Do you still get the problem when Safari is in full screen i.e. after clicking on the green button top left of window? I hate Safari so haven't tried it...

Re: Pedestrians - victim or cause?

I once saw a woman cyclist raise her left hand to indicate that she was about to turn right. I nearly collided with her. Then she said "but I indicated!" That used to be very common when I was a child over 40 years ago - many of my contemporaries thought you were supposed to hold out your...
