New ST drifts itself.
Not quite, but apparently alongside your usual 'comfy', 'sporty', 'dsc off-but-not-really' modes, the new RS comes with a 'drift' mode which allows talentless monkeys to believe they can drift. (I'm a talentless monkey who knows he can't drift, buts that's half the point.) It's 4wd and has the capab...

Re: East Surrey to Farnham
Hello. Im fairly close in Reading.
I struggle to get out much these days; I have a small human who requires my time.
Good to have you along, perhaps we'll meet at an event, which can be found in the network forum if you haven't spotted it yet.

Re: Making space at junctions
Having been caught out by this in the past, i now double check for indicators in the mirrors on approach to a junction mouth. If nothing there, I'll do as you do and leave a gap. If somebody is indicating, I'll move and 'block' the mouth unless it's a 'keep clear' in which case they can beep at me a...

Re: Smoooth . . . or not?
Perhaps it's not a lack of smoothness that is the difference, but the amount of force and how it is perceived by the car's occupants. Take an approach to a 30 limit from an NSL. It was suggested that a police driver would accelerate up to the point where they would need to brake in order to be at 30...

Re: What would you do?
Is there a google maps street view of this road, if you could spare a moment to find it? I'm just interested to see where the white lines start and end in relation to the corner.

Re: What would you do?
Imagine yourself on one of the bikes and think about each option. I know what I would prefer if it were me. Edit after my initial answer. Is this a hypothetical , or did this happen? Can we assume you 'went' and got the finger or something similar and you are looking for justification, or do I have ...

This is the point I was skirting around but never made. If you 'lose' the sprint off the line, what is your plan? Turn right presumably?

Re: Roundabout 450?
I'd say that was a bit naughty and would require a less than inconspicuous traffic light grand Prix. Then again if it's against Mildred in her Micra....
