Re: Like button

Hi Alasdair Thanks for explaining. As a "newbie" to this forum, I am still finding my way round all the various functions and how they work. I will read up on some of the earlier posts, as I'm sure there are explanations for most of them. I agree with GTR1400s comment above. What you have ...

Hi,
I would find it useful to have a "like" button on posts.
That way, you can show appreciation without having to quote and add a comment.

Re: First Time Automatic Owner

I can't help, although interested in responses as hubby picks up his new automatic car soon.
We have had autos in the past.

Re: What was your first car?

I remember getting into the driver seat and barely being able to see over the top of the steering wheel! I recall...

Re: Hello from West Sussex

Thanks Alasdair and Horse for all the information. It all makes more sense now. I like the 'SVA' prompt for positioning: safety, view, advantage. If anywhere on the lane width is [relatively ] safe, then go for view. How do you remember all of these initialisms? I have come across so many of them re...

Re: Hello from West Sussex

I feel vulnerable driving near to the centre line as I seem to be so close to oncoming vehicles. There are lots of winding roads around where I live, so I can get lots of practice. If you feel vulnerable because there *are* oncoming vehicles, then you've prioritised view over safety. If, you feel v...
