Re: Today's p*$$ boiler

One of the main reasons that the CPS took the decision making away from the Police was to reduce the number of lost cases which reflected on the CPS. It also reduced their work load as less cases now go to court. Ive stood in custody many a time where the custody sergeant can't make his mind up, so ...

Re: Streaming TV

but... is there any point in using Amazon Fire Stick when Sky sports is wanted? As far as I am aware only nowTV offers SkySport - allowing you to get rid of the sky box and all the other gubbins / viging media box and cable... Alasdair Alasdair, Look up Kodi for the fire stick and you will have you...

Re: Streaming TV

Nick,

There is no ongoing cost associated with the Amazon Fire tv. All you need is broadband for it to work of a min of 2mb.

I pay £20 a month for broadband and phone.

Cheers

Re: Streaming TV

Nick, Fire TV stick gives you all the catchup stuff such as iplayer, itvplayer etc. Then adding Kodi gives you catchup on any TVs series ever and movies. The cost is £35 to buy (unless there's a deal) and £0 a month other than the added cost of having an Internet connection. It's wireless only so no...

Re: Back to the Future day today!

OTOH I cannot imagine ever paying for a movies channel, so Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. are complete non-starters. My download speed is around 17 tonight, too. Amazon Fire tv stick is £35 if not on offer when I got one for £10! Same functions as an Apple TV and you can load all the usual stuff like ...

Re: The most difficult aspect of Advanced Driving

OK, so I've completely missed the point! What exactly is your problem? What exactly do you see as being my problem? Why do you have a predilection for the use of the word "sneaky"? ... "a sneaky little post" and "sneaking around the pub". What's all that about?...

We seem to be having a spate of it today - thanks for the reports - please keep them coming if you see anything you think we should know about. Hopefully akirk will be a long shortly to lock things down a bit more tightly. Akirk is going to be busy! Can't trust anyone to look after the place ...

Re: Spam

Baffles me as to what the point actually is!

Re: The most difficult aspect of Advanced Driving

I don't think it was a sneaky little post at all! I rather think it was a somewhat mild response to the 6 pages devoted to a dog training complaint... "£40 for an hour, he spend 25 minutes making small talk in my kitchen. Then a little walk around the block… Basically I feel I got ripped off, ...
