Since it began with an accusation of illiteracy, I feel it's odd that the same mistake is at the top of every reply!

Re: Learners on motorways

I couldn't actually see a plane in the first one. Maybe the imagery is updated - or served up from different servers depending on where you search from... Glad it wasn't just me. I even cleaned my glasses! That's odd - it's a different link now, which makes sense as the road description didn'...

ADI to Pupil: "Learners should experience all kinds of road - I know many pupils only drive around in towns and cities, but the whole point of allowing you on motorways is to give you more of a bank of knowledge to draw on when you're let loose on your own." Pupil to ADI: "Is any of t...

Re: Learners on motorways

Re learners on motorways, can't see a problem - how are they different from 70mph dual carriageways? Yeah they're just like dual carriageways....... or maybe they're not: http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/news/motorway-phobia-aa-route-planner.html What percentage of learners have experience of d...

Re: Associate cannot keep to the speed limit

I see. I have to click 10 times to increment 10mph (but I just do them quickly). In my old car you could hold the button and the cruise control would wind up/down. Just for variation - I had one you could click for 1 mph or hold for 5 (or was it 10) mph. Then had to release and hold for another 5/1...

And then look at the marketing on this one. The car will keep you safe! That's spooky - I'd made this clip (RHD) earlier: https://www.use.com/images/s_2/fb376917a3bd9a1463c8.jpg https://www.use.com/images/clicklarge3.gif Following distance about one car length; target lane hogging (another issue). ...

Re: Driving instructors and learners - do they drive like each other?

Maybe they never get activated in normal driving, but in today's litigious society, if one ended up in an RTC through no fault, I wonder how insurance companies would react if they found out DSC was switched off, or the ABS fuse was missing? Just the same as if the car didn't have DSC or ABS, one h...
