Re: Caught on camera... How not to overtake...

I don't have a dashcam but I think the motivation for most could be a genuine concern for safety of themselves and others. I saw a learner motorcyclist ride in a very unsafe manner recently...if I'd drawn level with him at traffic lights I would have tried to have a word (but probably be subjected ...

Re: Caught on camera... How not to overtake...

Oh dear. So not only do we have to put up with speed cameras we now have do goodies looking to report drivers for any perceived indiscretion. What motivates these busy bodies to do this sort of thing? It seems odd that when some scumbag broke into my garage the police weren't interested in the CCTV...

No thank you. You can call me a Luddite but I prefer a fool petrol engine to any other fuel offering.

Re: How does weather change your driving?

On my bike I put thicker gloves on and wrap up warm and dry, freezing cold tends to make you lose concentration. I ride to the conditions and visibility through my mud spattered visor. When it's wet or cold (or both) just ride more smoothly and do everything expecting less grip. This is through tyre...

Re: The perfect car.... ...?!

Horrible. I don't think there is a perfect all round car. Unless they are for a specific purpose they will always be compromised. For the most part I'm happy with my M3 but I'll see how it performs on track tomorrow.

Re: Something happened on my way home...

Would/should the van driver not have seen you over the car? Justification perhaps for a small white flashing light on your helmet? hadn't thought of that, I've avoided helmet lights so far because of the weight. I might revisit... I bought these. Sport Direct Mega Mini Twin LED's Silicone Light Set...

Re: Fog

I used my motorcycle for work today and visibility was pretty poor. I went a different way rather than my normal back road route as I'd not want to meet a car on some of the Z bends. It was interesting to see that some drivers were doing about 20mph and others Tomkins on at a fair lick. I could safe...

Re: Tuning boxes

I fitted a tuning box to my M3 as they are not easily remapped at present. It's a fairly complicated box which fits to 5 different sensors. It adds about 75bhp and with the Akra exhaust takes it to 525 apparently. Either ways it's pretty rapid. Unfortunately after 3 or 4 thousand miles I was getting...
