Re: Damaged new car
Seems a rum do that you have to accept a damaged and repaired car when picking up a new vehicle. I'm not sure people would pay full list price for a vehicle in the showroom in that stated condition. A cynic might suggest that, if the timescale had been longer, he might never have known . . . :o :oo...

Re: Damaged new car
It's got parking sensors apparently, all around. He seems to think it was one of those where the driver looks over his left shoulder but the car goes forward. Straight into a wall and a cold water tap. Seems a rum do that you have to accept a damaged and repaired car when picking up a new vehicle. I...

Damaged new car
A work colleague (yes genuinely, a work colleague, not me) went to pick up his brand new 4 wheel drive full of extras super dooper motor yesterday. An expensive purchase and fresh off the production line in France. Having waited 2 months he was jolly excited. When he arrived at the dealership, they ...

A quick chat with a solicitor will save you hours of headaches and avoid any disappointment caused by bar room lawyers.

Re: Mobile phones
I suppose a lot depends on how we interpret the phrase 'for greater good'. To me, most laws fall into that category, including road traffic laws. I accept them for the greater good, as in benefitting the majority, even though a) it may cause me some inconvenience and b) I may personally be able to h...

Re: used 911 or tuned MX5 ?
Essentially, you can outrun a Ferrari but park anywhere. Where I come from, that's a biggie. There are places where I don't even like leaving the MX5; I wouldn't dare leave (or drive) a 911. As an aside, I know the mk2 are dire with rust, including serious safety implications, but isn't the mk3 onw...

Re: Mobile phones
... Since we are talking about laws and bans and all that... Have some of you stopped for a second and thought about what makes a law FIT FOR PURPOSE? Do so and you will eventually see for instance, that the ethics of using the greater good in terms of how many lives could be saved right now vs doi...

Re: Mobile phones
Your pedantic attention to semantic details did not alter that. But I'll try again. I'll not debate whether "deliberately puerile" is an insult with someone who believes the meaning of words should not be debated  "'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, ..., 'it means just wha...
