Re: Reg Local at Bristol IAM, 30 September 2017
You are all missing the point ... it is illegal. Wrong spacing as well as missing the makers info etc. I looked into this a few years ago when trying to find a way to display the front number plate on my MX-5 without recourse to Mazda's rather flimsy plastic "plinth". This bit of the law ...

You are all missing the point ... it is illegal. Wrong spacing as well as missing the makers info etc. You can not be selective about which bits of your vehicle are legal. Well said, I thought it was just me being grumpy about it. If the law is an ass, change the law, don't be selective about which...

Re: Blue background signs
a) yes. Although close enough I can look at it if I need to. It's been quite useful for checking speeds, particularly when in temporary limits as the caterham speedo is, well, useless. (it's not marked in KPH, bounces around to within about 5mph and /under/reads by about 10mph. In the UK I've calibr...

I tried my best for minimum speeds, but I'm not sure I always managed it...

Now that's stylish. A wheel. To steer with. Minimalistic.
Nah, it's still got a gratuitous airbag. And you have to cope with being reminded you're driving a vauxhall all the time

Re: Flat bottomed steering wheels - why??
isn't it meant to be 'sporty' as it mirrors the shape found in sports cars etc. where the tight cockpit needs that shape wheel to allow the driver to get in... no real need for it in an Audi Alasdair It's funny, but real sports cars don't bother (thinking Lotus, Caterham etc). Although they might h...

Re: Admiral - Speed Awareness Course....
That is fascinating - can't imagine that there are many people taking that journey, but great that for at least 1 person it has really worked... I think the idea of the courses is superb, if we believe in the AD world in education, and not just blindly penalising people then I think we should suppo...

Re: Dutch Reach
I don't have much option in the caterham, I can't reach my right arm behind me to undo the poppers, so I have to use my left hand
