Re: ROSPA - "you need a police background to get gold"
Have you contacted RoSPA about your concerns? Yes I did. My local head tutor initially was a little bit head in the sand, but I pointed out that regardless of whether he meant it or not, the test had been compromised in ny head. It was switched back to the original tutor (who conducted the test tod...

Re: Any ROSPA test tips
In that case, look at my post from a week or so ago titled Rospa Test you need a police background to get gold .... Have you contacted RoSPA about your findings? Nothing will change posting it on here, you should contact their test department if you are not happy about an examiner's comments / atti...

Re: Any ROSPA test tips
(including a moving brake test done properly) Oh please. Who can be bothered with that? My examiner said at the start of the test, " We won't bother with a moving brake test. I can see you've got here in one peice." Nigel. Well if you got there in one piece, why bother with the...

(including a moving brake test done properly) Oh please. Who can be bothered with that? Well, the last time I looked in the examiner's manual that was mentioned and failure to do one is a negative thing not a positive thing. If you can't be bothered with doing what is expected, why turn ...

Re: Any ROSPA test tips
Basics for test. Drive should be safe, legal and reasonably smooth. The vehicle should be positioned to maximise safety and the driver should make good use of the speed limits. Perhaps extras for the test. Good cockpit drill (including a moving brake test done properly) and an description / explanat...

Re: Dash cameras
Thanks for these replies so far.
Does anyone know if a car's reversing camera could be wired some how to also record the rear view?
Thanks again.

Re: RoADAR re-branding and new constitution
I didn't experience the Jag. I was told it had a low ratio diff and accelerated like the clappers. I think there was also a Turbo Technics Jag at some point. Quick in a straight line apparently! I did experience the Maestro, but as an unmarked traffic car and not as an area car. It was certainly fas...

Dash cameras
Hello
Following a recent 'meeting' I had with a motor bike whilst stationary at a roundabout , can anyone recommend a camera system to fit to cars?
Ideally it would cover front and rear and could be transferred to different cars easily.
Thanks very much.

Re: RoADAR re-branding and new constitution
There was also supposed to have been a twin turbo Toyota, which if it did exist didn't last long and I didn't see it, and an Astra GSi which was actually quite fast and popular. At the time all of the traffic cars were autos and it was nice to drive a manual car for a change. The M3 was very fast an...
