Trying to find someone.
A short while back, I remember someone offering me a drive with them in Liverpool, however I can't recall who it was, or what thread it was posted in!
Anybody remember who it might have been? I'd like to take them up on their offer!

But is it not probable that they have used a different type of asphalt, or treated it to increase its stiffness in heat?

Re: Use of ZF 8-speed auto gearbox (BMW and other makes)
In the days of old where brake fade was a very real and common problem, I could understand the hesistance to use brakes - but modern braking systems are so good that I wouldn't have thought using the brakes to control your speed going downhill would be such an issue now? It depends... for heavy veh...

Re: I'm going to buy a Skōda
I already have a Skoda, and I am now in my first serious long term relationship! The boyfriend still thinks my Skoda is too flash - I guess he thinks I should have some kind of clapped out banger!

Re: Potential downside of speed enforcement?
It is interesting that the ADIs etc on here talk about listening to the engine to help you manage your speed. Obviously, being profoundly deaf, it is a bit difficult for me to listen to engine speed, however I don't have an issue with unconsciously straying above the speed limit. Generally speaking,...

Re: First accident...
If I'd had a camera fitted to the car, it would have recorded the passenger getting out and having a go at me, about what, I didn't understand, but he was having a go at me, and he was perfectly uninjured.
