Probably not but in my view one is more likely to solve the problem than the other.

Since the seat belt is there to help you in a collision, I would have thought that as long as it's on before you set off then that would be adequate. But that's just my thought, I'm new to all this.

Oh yes, sport mode would resolve the issue as it won't allow the revs to drop below 4,500 but that's not really ideal for normal driving and might be frowned upon on my observed drives with IAM )
