I don’t suppose we should take a space filler article in the Daily Fail too seriously, but I think some of those steering techniques would leave the driver open to being charged with not being in proper control of the vehicle.

I do think the curse of “late indicating” is becoming endemic. My desire to plan is being frustrated by having to wait until others can be bothered to use their indicators. Sometimes I am just having my suspicions confirmed but at other times the signal is a revelation.

One of my lockdown projects was to add intermittent wiping to the tailgate wiper on my Yaris. I now have one of the programmable relays, similar to the one used by VAG. Much better than continuous wiping as the window rarely remains wet enough to support that.
