Well done the start of a long enjoyable journey

You were lucky with the East Surrey group, you've had a good start point for your advanced driving career. As others have said the driving days are good fun. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the days I have attended.

The real experience in my opinion starts after the IAM test. I passed with a F1rst, tell them you will do a commentary and not be prompted. That will score you a brownie point. If the drive is smooth, safe and legal. You should be on your way to the F1rst fingers crossed. I agree with the other post...

Which clips on youtube have you watched? Chris Gilbert's Ultimate Driving Craft helped me. Easy to follow instructions and useful graphics to explain the limit point etc.

Advanced driving tuition will do that, when you realise you aren't that good and have a mountain to climb. In terms of learning you instantly become modest.
