Rather than focus on the speed itself, they might do better to condemn the circumstances - lots of traffic, perhaps insufficient forward visibility depending on where the incident happened, expectations of other road users etc. To say nothing of the fact that he's paying more attention to his phone ...

I read that dreadful book once and then gave it away. Even buying it at half price I felt ripped off.

Definitely for the best that his on-screen role was a silent part!

Indeed - much better to commit these little indiscretions abroad, where points are not (yet!) applied to your UK license. I avoid the M4 wherever possible. In the past though I've found that it has the highest average cruising pace I've seen for cars, even during busy periods. Driving along at 80ish...
