I've never checked, but how come the M25 is not a ring road? Is there a break in it somewhere?

If you mean the straight line skid marks well back from the corner, I suspect those are caused by unladen truck wheels locking up. There is what may be a set of skid marks in an S shape actually at the junction. If they are skid marks they seem to have been either caused by someone overtaking going ...

I'm refresh tutoring a 72 year old at present. Won't take much, he's pretty good. As with all of us though, he's one of a tiny minority. We can't trumpet too much while the advanced driving community is so small.

Wikipedia says "The last popular chain drive automobile was the Honda S600 of the 1960s". Personally, I'm amazed they chose to do that at that time. My impression is that chain drive for cars died out, in the main, by the 1930s.
