Re: Looking after cyclists
An issue I face every day from the seat of my pants. I have in the past submitted video to a well known supermarket against one of their delivery drivers (who overtook with barely 50cm of space...). To their credit they took it seriously and I'm assured have sent the driver on a retraining course......

Re: What would an "advanced driver" autonomous car do...?
Most people don't like driving and own cars for convenience and/or status. If it becomes more convenient to rent for a short journey, the incentive to own will become the province of those with larger disposable incomes. I can imagine that, possibly, hiring could end up cheaper than owning. you are...

Re: Any ROSPA test tips
I too never understand asking what the last sign was, and it's one question I can still never answer.... Because well it's in the past and therefore not in my processing of what's upcoming! Not too sure I follow that line of thought. For example, if I see a warning sign ahead for "Road Narrows...

In my own test the examiner asked that same question which I couldn't answer, then he promptly said I know you...

Re: So how do you cope with these crossings?
I too had to look carefully to see that crossing even having seen the warning signs - bonkers half-hearted thinking and I bet no one thought to ask any cyclists whether a crossing there was needed or wanted... especially as at the top the provision just disappears :( That narrowing shown, is also ho...

Re: What would an "advanced driver" autonomous car do...?
You must have steered some without realising it. It happens. A lot . it would've had to be quite a lot more than 'some' IMO. It is possible I over straightened but I doubt it would've been enough to do the lane change again in the opposite direction. with hindsight I should've just completely the o...

Re: What would an "advanced driver" autonomous car do...?
I decided to abort the second overtake and pull in behind which involved heavy braking while pulling the car over to the left. Manoeuvre complete I was quite startled to find myself back out in the middle lane and so had to perform it over again  mrs gannet by this point was somewhat confuse...
