Re: Mobile phones
It's up to whomever does the research to prove that it's not biased. Whoever, not whomever. How do you know that they haven't if you won't read any of it? It is still up to the person making the assertion of bias to provide the evidence to support it. Bloody hell! What do you think this is, Usenet?...

Re: Mobile phones
Facts are good. It's biased "research" paid for by people who have already decided what the answer should be that I have a problem with. And you base this assertion on what evidence, exactly? Are you saying you don't have a problem with biased research? No, I asked you a simple question. ...

Re: Mobile phones
....would any research find that hands-free was more hazardous than having the radio on if a radio programme was played over the hands-free system? I suspect not... Again, I think that has been done. It has. But why let facts get in the way of what we think. Facts are good. It's biased "resear...

Re: 20 MPH limits
I honestly don't have a problem with these limits. They provide a safer environment for all road users and the limits are in common use all over the EU and elsewhere. How does a 20 limit prevent a cyclist from undertaking a truck that's turning left? It doesn't is the short answer. How about a bus ...

Re: 20 MPH limits
Sparked off by the air pollution thread - I wonder what people think of these? Our (by-passed) village high street has had one for years and I have always thought it 'a good thing'; but I'm not so sure now these are becoming common in towns and cities. They seem to be routinely ignored on longer co...

Re: Mobile phones
It's not my personal experience...it's university research using 'ordinary' drivers. How do you know you're not effected? You did draw on your own experience. I therefore drew on mine. I never suggested I am not affected, The debate is about the extent of the effect and whether it is safely managea...
