Re: Banning the wrong things again?

Both of my cars have cradles that I installed. I use Brodit as they will sell you a car-specific mount to which you add a phone-specific holder, making it easier to change car, or phone. I have active mounts for my iPhone that hold a charging cable so that the phone is recharged while it is in the c...

Re: All Quiet on the Western Front

This weekend I have mostly been riding my motorbike, although I did give the MR2 a run out this morning in search of croissants. It’s been rather sidelined since I got the bike.

Re: The near future

I think that even light commercial vehicles are moving to automatic transmission. At work I receive a magazine called Van User and it appears that pretty much all new versions of current vans are getting either auto as standard, or as an option, as well as a general move to electric power.

Re: Driving thoughts

“Eyes on main beam” is just meaningless jargon really. When I spent a day with Chris Gilbert he repeatedly rammed home the value of looking further ahead by telling me about approaching vehicles that I should have seen myself: “there’s a white van, followed by a red car just about to come into view”.

Re: Motorcycle videos

I’m doing my CBT next month; would you care to explain, briefly, the difference between a shoulder check and a lifesaver?
