Re: Best fetures to look for when buying a new car.

Of those, the ones I find most useful are heated steering wheel, power tailgate (especially if a well aimed kick activates it) and head up display. I've only activated the anti-collision once, when someone had parked opposite a side road and I did a slalom around it. The ensuing bells and red warnin...

Re: Corner lines - thoughts?

Watching the video, it tries to impart a lot of information - too much perhaps, but the worst bit to me was the suggestion that large oncoming vehicles may give an indication of the severity of a bend - no mention of limit points (or how to measure without a large oncoming vehicle) WRT to the still ...

Re: What gear is best?

I've had a couple of cars with this "feature". The Focus I have now only wants you to change up, suggesting 4th from 25mph and 6th from 45, whereas my old scenic would suggest down shifts. Strangely, if you were doing 33 in 3rd it would want 4th, but 31 in 4th it would want 3rd

Re: Driving in the dark

Forgotten what they are called but I believe it's available on some Audi's. I wo...

Re: Intelligent Speed Assistance

Rather than how feedback or control is achieved, I'm more interested in how this magical system knows what the correct speed is. I first encountered sign recognition a few years ago in a hire car (also a Jag XE) and found it easily fooled by limit changes on side roads and countdown signs. I now ha...

Easy (but expensive) with the horse ones. The genuine gas cylinders were about £40 each tho' I did manage to find an alternate supply at about half that
