Re: Driving to the conditions?

In the dark and in the wet, not 30 perhaps 25, can't really say depends on conditions and what/who (if I see them) are about. Yes, it could have been me, may have missed the kiddy. What I am getting at is really sometimes 40 is a safe speed (gasp) others 10 isn't. One thing I get associates to do if...

Re: Driving to the conditions?

Not harsh at all, should drive to the conditions, dark and wet someone near a crossing, ok all be it green. Totally agree with verdict care and attention at all times at whatever speed. :soap: Of course I'm perfect at all times  It is the same for 40mph limits on country roads that used to be ...

Re: Motorcycle videos

Nice to see you keeping well back, so the van can see you in it's mirrors. Far too many bikers come up too quick and close for the overtake, giving little chance for the van to be aware of their presence before they overtake. Given the acceleration available there should be no need to get so close o...

Re: Hyundai keeping buttons

Totally agree, the few cars I have driven I have not even looked at the touch screen. Bad enough finding light switch on Fords (bottom right) why not on the stalk. :soap:
Hyundai's are good, from a maintenance point of view, dull drive but you can't have everything.

Roadsmart Skills Days "The sessions are open to both IAM RoadSmart members and the general public, allowing attendees a rare chance to learn precision driving and riding techniques on a racing circuit, and to develop new skills that they can use when back on public roads." Just wondered wh...

Re: Should Associates wear their usual clothing, not hi-viz, for training?

When I was using a bike on a regular basis (some 20 yrs ago) I had a car turning right in front of me at night. They stopped short of the turn and said they hadn't seen me, as I was lost in the headlights behind me. After that I always used a Sam Brown reflective belt ag all times. Still here!
