If you can't win, you need something with more power

Re: Rospa price increase

That was nicely hidden. All I saw was some drivel about member benefits so I didn't bother reading the rest of the mail. That's almost grounds in itself to dump them. :x

Re: I did a bad thing. How do I improve?

jont, good comment, and I should probably clarify. Car control to me is track based, you're right. That's the only safe place to explore the limits. This isn't what I want to do just now. To me, car control also deals with things well below the limit/things that change the limit, like variable road...

Re: I did a bad thing. How do I improve?

3. I’ve been wanting to do another course anyway, focused mainly on car control. Possibly track focused, although would prefer it on the road. I'm not sure I understand this. If you're doing car control on the road, it's because something has gone wrong. I also see track driving as slightly differe...

Re: Ultra low emmission zone

Just saw an ad. on the back of a bus announcing that ulez would come into effect from 8th April 2019. Thought I'd check my vehicles, both petrol ones (inc. 17yr old micra) are ok, the van not so (it's 03 so fair enough I thought) on doing further checks any diesel vehicles upto 2016 will incur a £1...

Re: Reg Local - Autobahn Driving (new video)

Pah, that's cheating doing it in a car with some performance. Try playing in the autobahn fast lane with a 3-pot 70bhp fiesta with a vmax of <100 mph. And yes, I did manage to keep it at vmax for a while, but it takes a /lot/ of planning

Re: Website not secure ?

We still have to log in on here, which means a password is going unencrypted. I'm sure everyone has good hygiene and uses a different and secure password for each site ( ), but it's still a good idea to make people think more about online security.

Re: Let's Talk More

Eye contact can be very helpful. I think the best advice is when in doubt revert to the Highway Code. That way every one should understand. I say should but I do wonder sometimes if some drivers can remember anything in the HC. It's pretty obvious a very large number of drivers can't. TBH, with the...
