Re: Advanced Driving or Self Important?

The video shows Direction/Route signs only; they are not "giving orders", so there is no need to comply with them - you may not wish to go to any of those destinations! 8-) Look at the pic in the first post. The sign I'm referring to is on the right, not the direction signs with destinati...

Re: Advanced Driving or Self Important?

Are any laws being broken in either case though? I don't think so. What about the sign in the video's embedded image? Left lane left turn only, right lane straight ahead and right turn. For me I've always gone by the "It's only paint" with regard to lane markings, but signs make them expl...

As I listen to a lot of hard rock you can imagine that was not a positive influence to my safety bubble/margins or ...

Re: Mobile phones

What hope is there on any sensible consensus out in the real world when the members of an advanced driving forum can't agree what is, and isn't acceptable use? The bottom line is: It DOES distract you, to varying degrees. There are arguments for occasional use. The great unwashed can't be tru...

Re: Mobile phones

I was having this very argument the other evening. Ergonomics. Do we let car manufacturers set the level of driver distraction or do we really need better legislation to stop them adding ever more complex "must have" facilities to the onboard Infotainment systems? My opponent debater felt ...
