Re: “Black box” recorders to become compulsory?

Not what I thought I was going to read. I thought it was going to be an insurance style box (which we should all resist having fitted to stop it becoming 'the norm'). Many vehicles already have what is being talked about in the article. Data is stored in/by the ecu on a rolling basis. Not for great ...

Re: New Audi A6 - not able to switch off Stop/Start function

My RenaultSport Clio 200 has an off button but it resets at every engine start. It can not be permanently turned off as it then wouldn't meet the Euro 4 emissions test and Renault wouldn't be able to market it with the non-achievable fuel figures. Martin, there's no ODBC port method either. You can ...

Re: Second thoughts on offsiding

I not heard of a Bike Safe course advocating off siding. Straightening, yes.

Re: Who goes first?

I can only recall one junction I've come across like this, here . I may have come across others but never commited the layout to memory due to not coming across them that often. Here's another. https://goo.gl/maps/N21hTTWoL972 I think you'll find you've come across plenty. It is fairly common at a ...

Hazard perception test now features more weather conditions

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/hazard-perception-test-now-features-more-weather-conditions The Dayglo in clip 2 seems to be working awfully well. ;) I have no idea when I would be expected to click on those tests. Ideally it should be when you start to plan to do something about it, not when it...

Re: Who goes first?

Very rare to be able to do the crossover behind the other vehicle these days as so many are already cutting the corner. :( To be honest if I'm on the main road I just ease a little so the vehicle ahead turning right across my path has completed their turn just before I arrive. I can't be bothered wi...

Re: Second thoughts on offsiding

pmYh1FWYtUA ... shows it in use. Also may have been linked earlier. Not sure how I missed this whole topic on offsiding. Maybe because it is primarily about cars or I was on hols back then. Regarding this video, which I've seen before, most of what is done in very wet conditions is straightening or...

Re: Who goes first?

I'm with Akirk. I was always taught the vehicle crossing the path of a vehicle going straight was the one that should wait. Similar to you should allow a vehicle coming up a hill to have priority, and the vehicles having to use the opposing lane to pass parked vehicles should give way. Of course wit...
