Off we go again.

Occupied North Berkshire / Dover / Dunkirk / Antwerp tomorrow Monday 17/06
Then Tuesday 18/06 Antwerp - Lower Normandie. It'll take bloody ages but it it's all motorway. I just hope my tag is still working.

Exactly. And IMHO early roll-out could lead to some very nasty incidents, followed by some very tortuous legal arguments.

I suspect that this system will first appear in all-electric (or possibly hybrid) cars where the electronics can be neatly integrated with the drive management systems and it will be "go" and "regenerative braking"

As I wrote somewhere up this thread I have a great deal of sympathy for the OP. My initial failure was due to a lack of understanding (and/or) explanation about what the IAM's aims and objectives were, and the meaning behind some of the reserved words and phraseology that we tend to take for granted...
