i was commuting 120 miles round trip each day. That does not excuse risk-taking but it creates an incentive, where safe, to take full advantage of every transition to NSL.

Off-siding

This road used to be on my daily commute, predating my IAM membership. It’s NSL, note the ‘kink’ in the distance. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Vx2ZYArmC8KTdpW46?g_st=im At that location, in good conditions and if I had the road to myself, I would always pull right over to the offside which gave me a grea...

Re: Greetings

I’m very pleased to see that comments in my introductory post have inspired such well thought out criticisms, sometimes in favour of commentary but I think on balance, more often opposed. I will certainly be taking all of these thoughts on board making me already glad I joined the forums. Will I con...

Re: Greetings

A habit of mine is verbally confirming speed reduction to a change in limit as I pass the terminal sign. If it’s a slight reduction, such as 40 to 30 that can b...

Greetings

I’ve been following these forums for a couple of years. Always impressive, a lot of sense spoken, and always ever-so-politely expressed. If I ever decide to contribute, I will clearly need to be on very best behaviour. Passed my IAM in 2018. Gaining an advanced qualification had been on my wish list...
