Re: These shoes are made for walking

Mention of Heel and Toe (which I’ve never been able to do, not even ‘nearly’), led me to Google. Found an Interesting clip, showing Ayrton Senna’s technique and footware… https://youtu.be/kzLjZWrpzmQ …looks like I missed out though, my own advanced test was nothing like that. I've always thought of...

Re: Motorcycle videos

Something a little different this time. The riding footage has been speeded up x3. Effectively giving riding speeds of 0 to 180mph, to display the smooth way that road position should blend and not jump or be jerky. The 'chipmunk' is the SatNag lady at hypersonic speed  Tl73LEhe-UE I enjoyed t...

More than two years and still zero input from new members.
Why? Perhaps some new members might like to say?

Re: Reg Local - IAM Masters

Have to say he is very trusting of parked cars and waiting vehicles. Did he say, as he moved off and out to pass a parked stopped vehicle "get away before he does"? That suggested to me that it was either: - said for comic effect Or: - seemingly ignoring that the car night move while he w...

Re: The Mind Boggles ...

But, electric, thus must be ok as far as our leglislators are concerned. However, if they were ice powered there'd be immediate action.
Then, even if there was any leglisation to control these, enforcement would be minimal.

Re: Has IAM Roadsmart given up on advanced training?

Whilst I sometimes find Horse's posts to be a bit too "academic" I do fully agree with his signature. I try to always drive as if on test, which sometimes leads to discussion with my wife, also IAM, when she tells me I'm driving too slowly or too fast. To expand, too slowly, in her view, i...

Re: IAM Roadsmart’s car crash on social media

I realised the direction the IAM was heading in a long while ago and have previously posted such. It's now an organisation only interested in its own survival and, therefore, will align itself with what it sees as the current politically correct stance. Afterall, autonomous vehicles will render IAM ...

Re: Brake and their RoadMap

Sadly, there's little or no evidence that improving vehicle handling skills actually improves safety. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary. Any safety improvement is likely to come from developing 'insight', a sort of hazard perception plus. I took that martine was referencing "insight&q...

Sorry, couldn't resist, presumably this would be the fastest from 30mph to 70mph, to keep it legal.
So, electric?

Re: Brake and their RoadMap

Just, as with so many things these days, dumbing down. No wonder we're on a path to irrelevance in this world.
