Re: IAM Thruxton Young Drivers Skills Day
Serious question: is it the case that pressing both pedals can cause issues in some cars? Not sure what you mean about "causing issues", but it's very common now for brake input to cut the throttle. /\ That :gear: So, presumably, left foot braking and H&T will gradually become impossi...

He was concerned that I'd try to use the clutch
But you actually raise a good point. There are often tragic 'wrong pedal' incidents.

Re: IAM Thruxton Young Drivers Skills Day
Aside: I did a half day (although it stretched to almost 5 hours!) at Thruxton, years ago - they were using Cortinas ... I took my Metro (1300cc of throbbing 'power') on at the end. It was actually difficult to make it lose traction. That reminded me that many years ago I was playing on the skid pa...

Re: IAM Thruxton Young Drivers Skills Day
Yes, fair point. And what I meant by " whether there's any real emphasis on improving road driving ?" Aside: I did a half day (although it stretched to almost 5 hours!) at Thruxton, years ago - they were using Cortinas ... I took my Metro (1300cc of throbbing 'power') on at the end. It was...

Re: Books Books Books!
Boing! For anyone who missed it first time around. Also, anyone want to offer them within their club or Group? No need to act as a 'broker', just PM for an email addresses. I'm clearing out my book collection, retaining just a few. Here's those that have to go: https://the-ride-info-new.blogspot.com...
