Not really. I've used Merell barefoot shoes for a while, and discovered their trail shoes add a useful bit of padding without really detracting from driving feel.

And do we think either of these work? Maybe as Horse suggests they need some electronics that instead pops up a message on the drivers satnav/phone, rather than expecting them to do something an onerous as look out the window

Feels a bit like a solution looking for a problem rather than telling folk to use their eyes? (and taking driving licenses away from folk who can't be bothered to do that).
