Re: Use of Indicator for Overtaking
It is an interesting discussion - esp. considering the superb level of driving some on here are known to demonstrate... It is also an indication that perhaps as advanced drivers we have a tendency to over-think at times?! Ultimately - every scenario is different - looking for a rule to use is probab...

Re: Use of Indicator for Overtaking
I was originally taught (by my standard driving instructor who was very good) - think of the indicator as conversation - who are you telling and what are you telling them - do you need to tell them once, or many times? Also, remember that there are many ways in conversation of saying the same thing ...

Re: These shoes are made for walking
Mention of Heel and Toe (which I’ve never been able to do, not even ‘nearly’), led me to Google. Found an Interesting clip, showing Ayrton Senna’s technique and footware… https://youtu.be/kzLjZWrpzmQ …looks like I missed out though, my own advanced test was nothing like that. well there is the answ...

Re: These shoes are made for walking
My standard shoe is a loake moccasin - doesn’t get in the way… but am also happy wearing anything like wellies amor walking boots… biggest difference is in ability to heel and toe, but not all cars have pedals allowing that now anyway

Re: https://www.drivingmasters.uk/
Looking at the levels I would say that it is clever marketing rather than just a structured progressive set of levels... there is very thought through specific keywords being used to attract an audience... for example - dmap5: Do professional drivers in vehicle dynamics and vehicle testing / chauffe...

Re: The Silence
The biggest issue with facebook is that it controls how you see content - it is difficult to find past conversations and to structure how content is saved... It is very good for fresh current content which rapidly goes out of date, and it is very good at photo / video uploads, but otherwise it is a ...

Re: The Silence
I think that a part of the problem is that there is a general decrease in an interest in driving let alone advanced driving… where are the younger folk coming into the discussion? There is an assumption by some that cars will do it all for you now / soon so why do we need to bother? And for those wh...

Re: 20mph alternatives
would it not be more effective to have chicanes and other hard landscaping to change speed - surface the road in cobbles and I guarantee that not many will be doing 60mph across them!
