Re: Road works speed limits
I doubt we'll see the 60mph limits very often, every set of works requires a site specific risk assessment and as said earlier, the works situation will need to allow for a higher speed limit. Where lanes are narrowed, for example, they may not increase it or where there is any risk to the people wo...

Re: Second thoughts on offsiding
In my view most motorcyclists are better 'drivers' than car drivers are and I'm not a motorcyclist. Re: Second thoughts on offsiding
I guess the rider was aware of the oncoming vehicle sooner than he would have been if he weren't off siding due to the improved view. And the oncoming driver would have been aware sooner of a bike heading towards him at speed . . . Yes, exactly that, it benefits both. The biker was certainly travel...

I guess the rider was aware of the oncoming vehicle sooner than he would have been if he weren't off siding due to the improved view. Personally if used correctly I feel its a 'no brainer', it improves view and straightens bends which improves stability so you have a better view and improved ability...

Re: Run flats to 'normal tyres'
I changed the run flats on my R53 JCW and like the person above it has the sports + suspension which is stupidly hard. Same size tyre but deliberately went for Uniroyal Rainsport 3 (not run flats) because I know they are quite pliant, so much so that I'd not use them on most other cars. That's helpe...

Re: Flat bottomed steering wheels - why??
I can imagine that id'd help people with very long or fat upper legs in cars that don't have seat height or steering wheel height adjustment.
Yes, exactly that..

Re: Dodgy precedent?
I think this is a good idea. I know that unless the evidence shows the complete offence then it won't be taken to prosecution. This isn't something that would be used for very minor offences but they want to catch some of the more serious one's and that suits me fine. No one is prepared to pay for t...
