Re: Lane Conflict

I'm still a little confused. In your reply to Martine you say two entry lanes and two exit lanes both right turning. Can you give us a link to an example on Google Maps. If you are in lane 2 and vehicles are legally allowed to turn right from lane 1, how are they able to go faster than you? Should y...

Re: Jet powered stability control...

There were occasions when leaving the bike to it's own devices (sliding from under) was the best outcome. Deliberately dropping it and let it slide into the problem on it's own could be a lifesaver. As one can see well out of touch with current techniques/machinery, leathers a bit scuffed but still...

Horse wrote:I'd seen this mentioned elsewhere, but not seen the video. What surprised me was that it appears to be pushing the bike down - I'd assumed it would a VTOL type effect supporting the bike.

The idea seems to be a low down opposite pressure, to counteract the slide. © Mr Newton.

Look what I had to play with today. Charge away! ;)

Look what I had to play with this morning. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1305/3449/products/2018_zero-sr_studio_rp_4800x3200_press_grande.jpg?v=1518111908 It's a Zero motorcycles SR model all electric bike. Compare this with the Kawasaki H2 SX I had out the other week. The H2 had 197 bhp, this h...

Re: Control Pal

Yaw? Blimey! Flat track, speedway and extremely enthusiastic road riding only? Even with 6-axis, I wonder how the system copes with 'down' not being perpendicular to the road during cornering, as 'seat of the pants' etc. will tell you it's [roughly] in-line with the bike (depending on amount of lea...

Re: Control Pal

Parachutists say "It's not the drop, it's the stop" - perhaps some sort of compression sensor on the suspension? I suppose you'd need either a 6-axis Pal system or the standard 4-axis system mounted at 90 degrees . . . The Kwacker uses 6. "The addition of an IMU (Inertial Measurement...

Re: Control Pal

Interesting. The Kawasaki H2 SX I mentioned in this topic has one of these built into the TFT display as a little motorcycle icon and a glowing bar that moves about it. My comment on handing the bike back was that I could see no point in it as when I was braking, accelerating or cornering hard, as t...

Re: Look what I had to play with.

This is the new H2 SX, "tourer" version. It's a fantastic machine with a watch like engine (no rattles, clicks, bangs like a normal bike). A constant surge of silky smooth power ... and surprisingly, engine braking. For ME it hasn't moved enough away from the original H2 that I tested last...

Look what I had to play with.

A sunny Friday and the GTR was in for new boots.

Look what I had to play with while the work was carried out.
