An AD acquaintance of mine was being driven by a fellow villager to a speed watch training course, some 30-40 minutes away. Blew through the villages on the way well above the speed limit.

The video definition is a bit poor so quite how far the overtaker could see is far from obvious. My own experience of Police speed measuring equipment - especially that used by Police Scotland in their unmarked cars which patrol the A832 - is that it's surprisingly accurate.
