Re: Masters - Safety Vs Progress

I was more interested - at a quick glance - at the interaction between David and Carol. I'm going to have to dig a little deeper...

But from my point of view, am I a safer driver having undertaken IAM, RoSPA and further coaching? I think so...

Re: Shocking driving? Not all the time

Hir - I know which frame you're talking about. It does look like the BMW "cuts across the bows" but if the camera car moved lanes in between the rear and forward facing shots, then it's in the wrong, not the BMW.

That's why I want to look on Google Maps or the like at road markings.

Re: Shocking driving? Not all the time

I think the key thing with the BMW one is that the video is taken from a 3rd car that you never see because you're inside it. It's the effect on that driver that you have to assess, not the others on the roundabout. It's possible, from the video, that the Honda's lane and the BMW's lane are both he...

Indeed, but some evidence is better than none.

Re: Shocking driving? Not all the time

Hence I'd like to see it on Google Maps. It seems, from the signposts and shadows, that the cars are going east-west on the Norwich Northern Distributor but I can't see anything on google Maps which corresponds.

I don't see that. The BMW avoided and passed the Honda smoothly when it changes lanes, and was in the correct lane (as far as I can tell) for the exit.

Shocking driving? Not all the time

I saw this BBC News article this morning - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-norfolk-45843691/shocking-dashcam-videos-released-by-norfolk-and-suffolk-police Most of the examples are egregious - but 20 seconds in, can anyone see what the white BMW has done wrong? I can't - I'd like to have a l...

Beeston man told to take down fake speed camera

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-b ... s-45667993

Quote from Highways England:

"Highways England, which has control over speed cameras, said fake installations could be distracting to drivers and cause crashes."

So, not like official speed cameras then?
