This is an example of Manchester's planning department idea of making roads safer. This is a 20mph Zone about 120 meters between the pinch point (left) and the T junction (right) In this distance there is a crossing a bus stop and the entrance/exit from a school carpark. In Spain rather than blanket limits in town they are graduated, according to the type of road. A dual-carriageway may have a 50kph limit. Some would say you have paid for all of the road use it.

DC when my speed is appropriate for it to be an advantage I certainly use the outer lanes if it improves the view allows me to continue at a higher speed safely and I am not causing inconvenience to other road users
