Re: Terminally Embarrased

A friend of mine has the same problem, the air pump machine made a big difference but the first one he go kept his missus awake with the noise. He bought one from somewhere that is almost silent, so now both are happy people.

Re: Tyres fitted to front or rear

Easy decision on my car front and rear tyres and different sizes. Quite a few years ago I needed a couple of new tyres on a Ford Mondeo put the new ones on the back. Unfortunately as I was skint at the time ( 3 kids in uni) I bought budget tyres. lost the back end on a bend on a very wet road. Its n...

Re: Speed limiters mandatory from 2022?

From my experience pressing the peddle into the carpet to override a limiter there is quite a lag between action and reaction

Re: Speed limiters mandatory from 2022?

Why would we need it to be a private forum we are all promoting driver/rider education if we are critical of an organisation we have first hand knowledge of we should be able to say so, as long are it is not libellous, and a mature organisation should listen to and consider all feed back.

Re: Speed limiters mandatory from 2022?

Hi. Appears that the responses to that post have come to the attentions of more than one of the IAM management HQ don't seem to be taking the criticism very well. But then how can you have a communications manager who prefers to take public transport to driving himself. IAM HQ seem to have lost thei...

Re: Hello all

I think that I'd rather be driven by someone who recognises their limits and keeps within them, than someone deliberately licking the flap of their performance envelope. Says the man carrying the red flag walking in front of the car. How many people do you see driving in the middle lane of a motorw...

Re: Hello all

The OP mentioned familiar roads. Advanced drivers/riders should not have familiar roads. The conditions change daily if you driver faster on roads you are familiar with then you have a false sense of security which in turn is a dangerous thing. Also,if you are driving smoothly then you should not be...

Re: New bike :)

I had a Sprint GT before the RT which was OK , I tried a lot of bikes before changing to the RT. But being a little short in the leg the adventurer style of bike was generally too tall for me. The RT left me short in the pocket instead
