Re: Theft potential of possible new car?
I don't think about the theft element but i do worry about getting the car vandalised. If I'm going into town for a night out I don't take my car as I'm afraid it will get damaged. Though I don't actually have any evidence this is the case.

Re: The new Top Gear team is announced
I rate Chris Harris and am pretty ambivalent about the rest with the exception of Eddie Jordan who I've got no time for at all. I'll give it a chance as it can't be worse than the last version. I just hope the presenters don't end up with egos like the last bunch. I'm hoping for some proper car cont...

Why do you think that would be the case? It's not really difficult is it? It just takes a minute to get used to the reduced pressure needed compared to a clutch.

Re: Avoiding BGOL around town
I NEVER have to BGOL for any other gear If braking too much then the chances are that too high a gear has been selected A junction I commute through is traffic lights at the end of a motorway off slip. In my little car, with its 1.6TD, top gear seems reasonable for 70mph, doesn't it? At the lights,...

Re: Book Review: High Performance Driving By Tom Wisdom
I read it a while ago and thought it was good. I've got a few of these type of books. I may give them another read.

Re: Avoiding BGOL around town
After a number of years faffing about worrying about this I've concluded its more trouble than it's worth worrying about this. Ive yet to hear a well reasoned argument in favour of it that I can subscribe to. I can do it but I just don't think not doing it is unsafe at all. Especially at low speeds,...

Re: Caught on camera... How not to overtake...
The lack of traffic police means some want to at least report the idiots. But also usually with a self-righteous view that they themselves are of course behaving beyond reproach, and without thinking about how their own behaviour may have contributed to the situation. If we want roads policing, let...
