Re: 'Advanced' - a solicitor writes

What doesn't make any sense? I'm usually very suspicious of people who use Latin. I was simply pointing out that even its direct translation is meaningless nonsense. Well, the direct translation is inaccurate so that probably doesn't help. Try reading up on "argument from authority" or &q...

Above edited to remove unnecessary pretentiousness. :D

P.S. It still doesn't make any sense.

Re: Flat bottomed steering wheels - why??

Interesting: i did consider going 'upmarket' by buying an S-line car this time round rather than the 'Sport' - until I did some research and found that the main difference (cosmetics aside) is a more uncomfortable ride! I'll stick with the Sport, I think! I made the same decision when I bought an A...

Re: Reg Local at Bristol IAM, 30 September 2017

If I walk up the road in a dinosaur onesie, I'm still going to look a prat regardless of whether or not my wife bought it for my birthday. He should say, "thank you very much, nice thought, but I don't want to look a prat, so I'll put them up in the shed so I can look at them every day and be ...

Re: Reg Local at Bristol IAM, 30 September 2017

I'm afraid my respect for Mr. Local has gone from somewhere approaching 100% to less than 10% because of this. Has your respect for Mr Local fallen because he just meekly and obediently fitted to his car, without protest, the plates presented to him by Mrs Local on his birthday? If I walk up the ro...

Re: Reg Local at Bristol IAM, 30 September 2017

Huge difference between bikes with tiny plates which are unreadable from a distance (and from anpr cameras) vs a bit of creative spacing which is still perfectly readable from the same distance as a regulation plate too... I'm of the opinion that spending good money on something that has no effect ...

Re: Flat bottomed steering wheels - why??

isn't it meant to be 'sporty' as it mirrors the shape found in sports cars etc. where the tight cockpit needs that shape wheel to allow the driver to get in... no real need for it in an Audi Alasdair It's funny, but real sports cars don't bother (thinking Lotus, Caterham etc). Although they might h...

Re: Aviva App?

you should see the data we collect on here... I can tell whether you are taking a left-hand or right-hand corner while typing, and even what the weather is :D there is an interesting development in all of this assuming everything comes together for next year's implementation of the new data protect...
