Re: Merry Christmas everyone

the main reason I chose my Citigo over cheaper/more pratical equivalents (such as the 107/Aygo/C1 trio) is because the Up!/Mii/Citigo trio frequently are praised for being one of the more 'fun' city cars to drive Did you try the alternatives and are you able to say how, in your opinion, they compar...

Re: Merry Christmas everyone

I've been wondering if it'd be sensible to get one of those as a graduation present to myself Rather depends on what you value in a car, and how you intend using it. I think it's a great car to drive but, if you tried one, you might find it not to your liking. I've put a slightly wordier version of...

Re: Merry Christmas everyone

Lovely. New car Jon? Well, I've had it 15 months and done 18000 miles in it.... :gear: What are your thoughts about it? I've been wondering if it'd be sensible to get one of those as a graduation present to myself when I graduate - in about 2 and a half years time. Prices should have lowered enough...

Re: "High risk" roads

I am aware I'm responding late to this subject, but I've found the Cat and Fiddle in Derbyshire to be an excellent road, on account of having driven it four times. Twice, in beautiful sunny conditions, and twice, when it was snowing. In the sunny conditions, I found it to be a most enjoyable road on...

Re: BRAKE - good news and bad news?

Good to have you back. How's Uni? Eh, it's university. Let us say no more on that subject ;) Huh? There are reduced limits? As you come out of Newbury, the B4494 is 40mph until you reach the bridge over the A34 - quite reasonably, since there are a lot of side entries on this section. It ...

Re: BRAKE - good news and bad news?

the B4494 between Newbury and Wantage I dislike that road: it's a pig at night-time. Glorious road, at least it was before the reduced limits on the open sections. Huh? There are reduced limits? Interesting, I've only ever driven as fast as I can whilst also ensuring I could stop in the distance I ...

Re: VAG NOx emisions fix.

We're in the same boat here with our Yeti. Have a 1.6 Yeti Greenline. Got the letter 2 days ago saying dealerships are ready to carry out the work on our car, so we should just book the work to be done, but I've told my parents to ignore it as I've seen far too many posts over on Briskoda moaning ab...

Re: Advanced driving in Denmark...?

If you're going driving in Denmark (particularly Copenhagen), be prepared to have to devote quite a lot of attention to bicycles! Noted! I'm not actually going driving in Europe any time soon, but I may move to Denmark shortly after I graduate as I'm slowly becoming more and more disillusioned with...

Advanced driving in Denmark...?

I'm wondering what the attitudes to Advanced Driving in Denmark are...

Although, having done some googling, it seems like Advanced driving isn't as much of a big deal in Denmark, because the standard of lessons/testing in Denmark are quite high, as outlined here.
